Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Where are you located?
A: We are located at 2800 S. Hulen Street in Fort Worth, Texas. Our studio is on the bottom floor of Rivertree Plaza, a rock building with a brown roof (please see picture). You can reach us by traveling eith I-30 or I-20, we are almost directly between the two. From I-30, travel south on Hulen, over the railway system and the Trinity River, and take a right on Rivertree as soon as you pass Marvin Electronics. From I-20, travel north on Hulen, past Tom Thumb and DSW. Take a left on Rivertree right before you reach Marvin Electronics. If you park in the back of the building and come in the back door, we are the second studio on the right.
Q: Why is my new custom foundation lighter than my old one?
A: As your custom foundation becomes exposed to air over time, it darkens both in the bottle and on your face. Because your new foundation has not been exposed to air, it may appear lighter than your old one. Before returning it to us to be darkened, first try it on. It may be the perfect shade! If you are still unsatisfied with the color, bring it back to us, and we will be happy to adjust the color for you.
Q: What consultation should I get first?
A: We recommend completing the color analysis as your first consultation because people are immediately attracted to the colors that you wear. Having your colors analyzed will make the most impact on your clothing decisions. When doing a closet audit and personal shopping, the color fan will be used to select clothing that highlights your best features. Our color analysis also includes a complete cosmetic makeover for women so that your new colors and makeup will be cohesive.
Q: Should I get my hair cut or colored before a consultation?
A: No. During your color analysis, we will recommend a hair color that compliments your body’s natural coloring. In addition, a style analysis will include hair cut suggestions. Schedule your hair appointment for after your consultation so that you can receive any suggestions before taking action.
Q: Will you travel outside of Fort Worth?
A: Stoltz Image Consultants will travel within Tarrant County for no charge. There will be a $50 travel fee for any consultations outside of Tarrant County.
Color Analysis
Q: Does it matter what time of year I come in for my color analysis?
A: If your skin remains the same color year round, then you can come in for a color analysis at any time. However, if you become very tan in the summer or you have just come back from a beach vacation, we recommend that you do not schedule your color analysis while you still have a strong tan.
Q: How should I prepare for a color analysis?
A: Wear clothing and makeup that is reflective of your lifestyle. Whether you work or are running around with kids, we want to see your daily attire. Also, do not forget to bring your makeup so that we can give you tips on which products are complimentary of the colors selected in your color analysis.
Q: How long will a color analysis take?
A: A color analysis typically takes about two and a half hours for a woman and one and half hours for a man. One and a half hours are used for the color analysis, and another hour is for the makeover.
Q: What does a color fan look like?
A: The color fan contains fabric swatches that make it easy to match your colors to clothing. The fan also comes inside an eyeglass case to make it convenient to bring with you during your shopping trips.
Q: If I have had my colors done under The Four Seasons System, why do I need a color analysis?
A: The Four Seasons System is limited to only four color classifications. There are many variations in human colorings, and the Four Seasons System does not account for this. In addition, several clients have told us that after having their colors done a second time under the Four Seasons System, they were given a different season than during their first analysis. This is because there can be much confusion in classifying people under color systems with limited categories. The most advanced color system requires a trained eye that can see all color varieties. By comparing your natural coloring to hundreds of shades we are able to choose the ones that will bring out your natural beauty, while rejecting the ones that will keep you from looking your very best everyday. Please call the studio to set up an appointment for your personalized color analysis (817-924-8300).

Q: How long will a style analysis take?
